We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Engineer (Mid Level) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Test Strategy

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for web and mobile applications.


• Define quality standards, testing methodologies, and best practices across projects.


• Ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.


• Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to identify potential quality risks early in the development lifecycle.


• Establish testing processes that support continuous delivery and high-quality software releases.

2. Functional & Non-Functional Testing

• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.


• Perform API testing and validate responses, error handling, and data integrity.


• Conduct performance, usability, compatibility, and reliability testing.


• Verify end-to-end workflows across web applications, mobile applications, and backend systems.


• Ensure all identified defects are properly validated before release.

3. Test Automation & API Validation

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.


• Utilize tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Selenium, Appium, or similar automation frameworks.


• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve release efficiency.


• Maintain automation frameworks and optimize test execution processes.


• Continuously identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and reduce manual effort.

4. Defect Management & Quality Control

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through to resolution.


• Collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce, analyze, and verify fixes.


• Perform thorough regression testing after defect resolution.


• Monitor defect trends and provide recommendations to improve product quality.


• Ensure timely closure of bugs while maintaining quality standards.

5. Agile Collaboration & Delivery Support

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.


• Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers, Team Leads, and Developers throughout the development lifecycle.


• Provide QA feedback during feature design and development stages.


• Support release planning and deployment validation activities.


• Ensure testing activities align with project timelines and delivery objectives.

6. Performance, Security & Compliance Testing

• Conduct performance testing to assess system stability, scalability, and responsiveness.


• Support security testing initiatives and identify potential vulnerabilities.


• Validate compliance with quality standards, security requirements, and industry best practices.


• Verify application reliability under different environments and usage conditions.


• Recommend improvements to enhance system performance and security.

7. Quality Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Track and report testing progress, defect metrics, and release readiness.


• Create testing dashboards and quality reports for project stakeholders.


• Analyze testing outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.


• Contribute to the enhancement of QA processes, frameworks, and methodologies.


• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.

8. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Prepare and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test execution reports.


• Document testing procedures, automation frameworks, and quality standards.


• Create reusable testing assets and templates.


• Share testing knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned across teams.


• Maintain QA documentation for audit and project reference purposes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.


• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, or Quality Engineering roles.


• Strong experience in testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.


• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.


• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar.


• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.


• Experience with SQL queries, database validation, and data verification.


• Knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation tools.


• Experience with Postman, REST Assured, Swagger, or API testing frameworks.


• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.


• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.


• Understanding of security testing concepts and tools.


• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.


• Experience working in Agile product development environments.
